The Magnificence of the Priest

The Magnificence of the Priest

Without God’s chosen priests there would be no Eucharist, sacraments, or real hope for salvation. We have forgiveness from our mortal sins and are reunited with God because of the power given to God’s holy Priests. Without them, the grace we need to move our souls into accepting God’s saving mercy upon our death would be hardly obtainable.

Nobody is more blessed than the least of God’s chosen priests! The most blessed saint, who has the most amazing gifts from Our Lord, is not more blessed than any of God’s elect, His chosen priesthood (unless the saint is a priest of course). The magnificence of the priest is awe inspiring. Just look at their blessed hands, which the Holy Spirit pours out of onto the gifts of the alter, and by their holy lips which professes the prayers of consecration for transubstantiation (where God puts His actual body and blood into the bread and wine) to miraculously occur during each celebration of the sacrifice of the holy mass. This Eucharist which gives us eternal life is made possible because of God’s magnificent priests. How can we look at a priest as anywhere equal to us or speak with any disrespect toward them? We need to pray for them.
